“Wanted somewhere quiet as I was attending a funeral this was the ideal place within walking distance to the wake! Cheap/ clean and warm just what the doctor ordered so to speak! When I come back to hull will definitely give John the host a call, it's also a stones throw to the football ground, most welcoming give it a try you won't be disappointed it's a big fat yes from me”

“I’d like to say thank you very much. You made us feel very welcome and you helped us out on the room is very clean and tidy and it was comfortable. Couldn’t believe how cheap it was and the owner was absolutely fabulous. We had a good laugh with you had a good sense of humour and that’s what you need. I would stay again if ever need be and I’m sorry to say I can’t come back. My son did not win his fight but thank you again and I would recommend you to anybody.X”

“Well what can we say? The vale hotel is clean, comfy, warm & value for money, john & sandra are such lovely people and cannot do enough for you, we stayed in room 5 which has a shared bathroom (we were very unsure before our arrival), both the room & bathroom were spacious and spotlessly clean, the parking is gated and secure, all in all a home from home, we enjoyed it so much we have booked a week for next october, im so pleased we ignored the negative reviews. Thank you john & sandra, see you in 2026.”

“Stayed at the hotel with my friends for 1 night, and what an experience it was! The owner is a very lovely man with a good sense of humour and was very helpful and informative. The rooms we got we were happy with them, they were clean, tidy, enough space for us with free teas and coffees. The location of the hotel is quiet good about 15 min walk to the centre and it's just a straight road so won't get lost easily. Overall enjoyed our stay, we were happy woth everything and will be definitley going back there!”
